Who should take IELTS General Training instead of Academic?
General Training is for migration to English-speaking countries, workplace registration, or secondary education. If you are applying to a university, take IELTS Academic instead.
How is General Training Writing different from Academic?
Task 1 is a letter instead of a chart description. It can be formal, semi-formal, or personal. Task 2 is an essay similar to Academic but on more general topics.
What band score do I need for migration?
It depends on the country and visa class. Australian skilled migration often asks for 6.0 in each band; UK Skilled Worker requires CEFR B1, often around IELTS 4.0-5.0. Check your specific visa requirement.
